Sources & citations

Notes is anchored primarily to material you upload. Deep Search retrieves current web sources. Research searches scholarly records, appraises papers and builds a report from structured evidence packs.

This distinction matters. A citation-heavy answer is not automatically better for a task that should remain faithful to a lecture, and a lecture is not automatically current enough for a treatment recommendation.

The Research workflow searches PubMed and Semantic Scholar. Records are ranked against the question before selected studies are summarised and compared. Current external context can supplement the scholarly search, but it should not silently replace primary papers.

Before a Research report is assembled, citation markers are checked against the known paper records. Unknown markers and uncited bibliography entries are rejected. This reduces citation drift; it does not prove that every interpretation is correct.

  1. Open the linked source.
  2. Confirm the source says what the report claims.
  3. Check the population, intervention, outcome and date.
  4. Prefer current primary guidelines or original studies where the decision is sensitive.
  5. Treat unresolved disagreement as disagreement.
